Smasher is our stud dog. He was born in January 2007. He has plenty of power, thinks about what he is doing and rates his stock well - he will work anything from a single sheep to 750 (the biggest number we can put together here) and cattle in any situation. Will outrun long distances, loads the trailer including the upper deck without any help from me. He is a true to type Welsh Sheepdog, an active and upright worker, has worked on the hill and was part of the Welsh Sheepdog Society demonstration team at the NSA Welsh Sheep event, 2013. Black and white with two blue eyes.

Heini's last litter produced this girl who is smart both in looks and in intelligence. She is very pushy, very fast and not at all rough, though none of the sheep will argue with her, excellent in the pens. Sable and white, dark eyes.

Ceri's daughter Elsa (the lioness, not the ice maiden) is everything we set out to produce 20 years ago. She's had a few litters and now settling in to work as my right hand man here. Sable and white, dark eyes.

I wasn't planning to keep this one, but somehow I couldn't let her go. She is fine and slight - I call her my whippet - but she is shaping up to be a super worker. Can't tell her anything because she knows it all, already! Sable and white, dark eyes.

Milwyn Llew was one of the early greats in the breed whose bloodline is becoming very hard to find now. We bred Ceri to Ger to keep this family going on another generation. Piper is Oonagh's bitch and her calm, thoughtful approach to work is perfect for her. Red and white, brown eyes.

Dan is a young fellow with a lot of potential. He was heading weanling cattle at four months old without any need to be rough. His unusual colour is just the icing on the cake. Now with John Davies, we had a litter by him as a young dog as his 'insurance policy'. Don't know what you call this colour! Dark eyes.

Merlin was my pick of Merle's litter to stay as stud dog here. He had a lovely litter with Elsa but was wasted with not enough work here, so he is on indefinite loan to Simon Mogford. He is in full work gathering on the Brecon Beacons most days, and that keeps everyone happy! Lovely type of working dog with power and distance and throwing strong working pups. Tri merle, brown eyes.

Shifty is an excellent, strong dog who we kept as an outcross for Heini's line. A tremendous worker, unafraid close up and at distance and a good thinker. Red and white, brown eyes. We sold him to Ian Davies where he would use his talent to the full. He is now a fully trained hill dog and feral sheep catcher.

Merle was growing out into a lovely bitch, very interested in sheep and just starting training. Red merle and white, brown eyes. Sadly merle died in an accident shortly after leaving here. She produced us a lovely litter by Eddie to remember her by.

This was the first pup I bought in for 11 years. I like her very much, she has bags of power, decent outrun and a bit of bark. Red and white, dark eyes. Saph had a couple of litters here and then sold to Ian Davies who has her in full work on the hill.

Bob was boarding here on the way to his new home with Milos Svec in the Czech Republic and we were lucky enough to get a couple of litters from him before he went. He has super breeding and is a good, strong, keen young dog - he has power without needing to be being rough to get it and is not worried about working at distance.

Jac is Gwion Evan's bursary dog who I have admired since I saw him at 18 months old at an open day. He has a very good reputation as a cattle and hill dog and backcrossing some bloodlines that we have used here and work well. Gwion was kind enough to let us use him twice and we had some super pups who are doing well. Dark blue (seal) merle, dark eyes.

We waited years to find the right cross to Jaffa, who was surely one of the very best. Huw Roberts had a good litter by him who have all come out lovely dogs with a bit of size and scope and full of work, close up or distance. Taff is a strong dog from that litter belonging to Barry Jones. He's a good cattle dog and also works on the hill and we used him over Elsa in the hope of producing a stud prospect to breed the next generation. Red merle, blue eyes.
